How are florists faring during our pandemic? Sadly, like so many other small businesses, not well. Most local flower shops, considered nonessential businesses, are closed. The virus has disrupted supply chains and forced florists to miss out on millions of dollars in revenue as event after event has evaporated.
For the time being, I’m proposing a colorful/practical alternative, particularly in light of the fact that many hospital units have been no-flower zones for decades. And many have banned latex balloons out of concern for latex allergies.
Given a few quality sources and resources, it’s easier than ever to produce professional products that you’d be proud to share.
Here are my favorite supplies and associated links:

A7 folded cards with matching envelopes (5 1/4 inch by 7 1/4 inch/12 pack) are from Paper Source/lots of colorful options.

Alternatively, Strathmore ivory cards with deckle edge provide a crisp/clean writing surface.
