Light, Lens, and Living Color!

Highly social and surprisingly smart. Electric green backs, sapphire crowns, bold black masks. Though they look like they belong in the Amazon, the Rio Grande Valley is the only place in the U.S. where you can spot them. Green Jays! I met them last spring when I was here, and am enjoying new ways of photographing them this fall, this time in flight.

What prompts people to sit in blinds with cameras for hours on end? No feathers lost, no habitat disturbed, no harm done. Just light, memory, gratitude, and a full memory card.
