National Polar Bear Day!

Remembering the week I spent blanketed in blizzard conditions in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada. Safely sheltered in a Polar Rover, we found ourselves just feet away/on our first day/from the awe-inspiring giants of the Arctic – polar bears, the largest land carnivores on Earth.

Our first sightings/perfectly positioned as they were/would be the last images taken on this week-long Stanford Travel/Study Program. The early captures were absolutely worth the week of otherwise blinding conditions.
